Taking advantage of your social media platforms is a critical part of digital marketing strategy, even a requirement now . But how much posting is enough?
There is no perfect answer, but in general I recommend once a day as a good rule of thumb for platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
The better question is how much can your realistically commit to? The key to social media success is consistency and commitment. Engagement is a large part of organic growth on social media. Have you heard the term "post and ghost"? If you post but don't have the time to go back in and engage with your followers, respond to comments and direct messages, or follow new accounts - you are posting and ghosting my friend.
This is why making a realistic posting schedule is critical. Your followers will appreciate consistently showing up more than seeing lots of posts with no follow up.
My no.1 tip for posting on social media is always to have some fun! But you can have fun and have strategy. Follow these simple rules to get the most out of your social media efforts:
1. Have some fun!
2. Identify your goals clearly.
3. Plan your content with a content calendar.
4. Measure your results.
And a BONUS: Test, test, test. This plays into having some fun with your strategy!
